The TEAM

This event is unsupported ie. there will be no aid stations or road signage on the course. Each team must consist of three members, so at any one time, one member will be racing while the other two act as support crew. Support crew will be responsible for navigating the course and providing each athlete with nutrition. (The swim stage is organised such that you will not require a support boat). Please refer to Rules and Guidelines for more info regarding Support Crews.

It is up to you how you split the roles within the team. Your team can consist of two athletes and one support crew, or you can bring three athletes and split the crewing between you. It is also your choice how you break up the event. For example: one athlete may choose to race the entirety of Day 1 – swim followed by bike – or you can change athlete every kilometre if you wish!!! Your success will depend heavily on good tactical and logistical planning.
